Wound care is a common problem in small animals. Antimicrobial resistance, biofilm, time constraints, and the cost of surgery or specialized dressings hinder efforts to deliver prompt wound healing. Maggot therapy has been very effective in human and equine wound care, but very little research has evaluated its safety and efficacy in dogs and cats.

Background: Although modulator therapies have proven effective in cystic fibrosis (CF) access is limited due to reimbursement issues in Turkey. We aimed to examine anxiety and depression levels of people with CF (pwCF) and their caregivers according to their access to modulator treatment.
Methods: Participants genetically eligible for elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (ETI) were divided into Group 1 (access via court decision, not yet on treatment) and Group 2 (unable to access due to reimbursement issues).

The 2022 US Supreme Court decision in eliminated the constitutional right to abortion and activated trigger laws in 21 states, either banning or significantly restricting abortion access. This study estimated changes in postpartum depression (PPD) diagnoses after in states with trigger laws vs those without. Medicaid data from Kythera Labs spanning December 2019 to June 2024 were utilized.

Introduction: COVID-19 infection is associated with post-acute adverse outcomes affecting multiple organ systems. Although preliminary studies have suggested that COVID-19 re-infection may have a cumulative effect on long-term outcome, differential effects of COVID-19 re-infection severe enough to be hospitalised on post-acute sequelae compared with hospitalised first-time infection have not been explored.

Background: Youth in contact with the juvenile legal system experience disproportionate rates of homelessness. While system contact is a critical intervening point, juvenile courts do not typically offer housing services. One solution is to refer youth to evidence-based, community-based services to meet housing-related needs, but a myriad of individual and organizational factors often impede court staff from making such referrals.
