Background: In the realm of Evidence-Based Medicine, introduced by Gordon Guyatt in the early 1990s, the integration of machine learning technologies marks a significant advancement towards more objective, evidence-driven healthcare. Evidence-Based Medicine principles focus on using the best available scientific evidence for clinical decision-making, enhancing healthcare quality and consistency by integrating this evidence with clinician expertise and patient values. Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) have become essential in evaluating the broader impacts of treatments, especially for chronic conditions like HIV, reflecting patient health and well-being comprehensively.

Introduction: The escalating resistance of microorganisms to antimicrobials poses a significant public health threat. Strategies that use biomarkers to guide antimicrobial therapy-most notably Procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP)-show promise in safely reducing patient antibiotic exposure. While CRP is less studied, it offers advantages such as lower cost and broader availability compared with PCT.

People living with HIV/AIDS have been impacted notably by the COVID-19 pandemic in diverse dimensions. Although some impacts of COVID-19 on PLHIV have been well documented, there is still insufficient research that captures the overall understanding of the implications of COVID-19 for the healthcare utilization among PLHIV. This review aims to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on PLHIV, narrowing it down to women living with HIV/AIDS.

Objectives: The aim of this pilot study is to assess the feasibility of using the mobile photographic method (m-health) of teledentistry for oral screening and triaging of older patients living in aged care homes.
Methods: The study took place in 2023 in four aged care facilities in Egypt. Three trained dentists performed clinical oral examinations of the participants and filled in the World Health Organization (WHO) oral health assessment form.
