We aim to evaluate the effects of palliative care interventions on medical resources in end-of-life scenarios, to promote earlier palliative care access and provide high-quality healthcare services for patients.

Purpose: Despite expanding health insurance coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), many Americans struggle with financial barriers to health care. Medicaid expansion was meant to help alleviate these barriers, particularly for rural communities, but has shown mixed results. The American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) community, which faces both racial and geographic disparities, is a group that should benefit from Medicaid expansion.

Snakebites are a significant global health concern; despite various known risk factors, the role of environmental changes, such as deforestation, remains underexplored. Therefore, we investigated the association between deforestation and snakebite incidence in South Korea. Aggregated data were obtained from the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) and the National Emergency Department Information System (NEDIS) from 2014 to 2021.
