Synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction measurement was performed to investigate the size effect in ferroelectric nanosized (Pb(0.7)Sr(0.3))TiO(3) particles with various sizes ranging from 10 to 200 nm. The 200 and 002 Bragg reflections were separated using low energy synchrotron radiation x-rays. The peak profiles of the 002 reflections show a large broadening and asymmetry for all particle sizes compared with those of the 200 reflections. These anomalously wide and asymmetric peak profiles become marked for peaks with a large l. The aspect ratio of the lattice constants c/a and the atomic distance between the anions and cations decrease gradually in the vicinity of the surface of the particles, indicating that the asymmetrical profiles can be attributed to the formation of a gradational system.
Objectives: Multilayer monolithic zirconia (M-Zr) crowns can be engineered to achieve gradational translucency and color intensity. However, this modification may compromise the mechanical strength, raising concerns regarding the ability of M-Zr crowns to withstand occlusal stresses. This paper presents an interval type-2 fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative (IT2F-PID) controller that is designed using a new disassembled gradational optimization (D-GO) method. A PID controller is first optimized using the D-GO method and then connected to a type-1 fuzzy logic system (T1-FLS). The parameters of the T1-FLS are optimized, and the T1-FLS is blurred into the interval type-2 fuzzy logic system (IT2-FLS).

At the macro level, a series of semantic patterns were identified, with Goal-Achievement and General-Example Patterns being the most prevalent. They predetermine the evaluative tone, giving the surrounding statements evaluative meanings, exhibiting the radiating nature of evaluative meaning; at the micro level, a variety of resources have been identified, both explicit and implicit, lexical and syntactical, attitudinal and gradational, which collaborate to reinforce the subjective evaluation, revealing the holistic characteristic in the realization of evaluative meaning.

Background And Objective: Predicting the malignant potential of breast lesions based on breast ultrasound (BUS) images is a crucial component of computer-aided diagnosis system for breast cancers. However, since breast lesions in BUS images generally have various shapes with relatively low contrast and present complex textures, it still remains challenging to accurately identify the malignant potential of breast lesions.
Methods: In this paper, we propose a multi-scale gradational-order fusion framework to make full advantages of multi-scale representations incorporating with gradational-order characteristics of BUS images for breast lesions classification.
