The second self-diffusion and viscosity virial coefficients of the Lennard-Jones (LJ) fluid were calculated by a detailed evaluation of the velocity and shear-stress autocorrelation functions using equilibrium molecular dynamics simulations at low and moderate densities. Accurate calculation of these coefficients requires corresponding transport coefficient values with low degrees of uncertainty. These were obtained via very long simulations by increasing the number of particles and by using the knowledge of correlation functions in the Green-Kubo method in conjunction with their corresponding generalized Einstein relations. The values of the self-diffusion and shear viscosity coefficients have been evaluated for systems with reduced densities between 0.0005 and 0.05 and reduced temperatures from 0.7 to 30.0. This provides a new insight into the transport coefficients beyond what can be offered by the Rainwater-Friend theory, which has not been developed for the self-diffusion coefficient.

The general theoretical description of spin self-diffusion under a nonlinear gradient magnetic field is proposed, which extends the effective phase diffusion method for a linear gradient field. Based on the phase diffusion, the proposed method reveals the general features of phase evolutions in nonlinear gradient fields. There are three types of phase evolutions: phase diffusion, float phase evolution, and shift evolution based on the starting position.

The entropy of strongly coupled Yukawa fluids is discussed from several perspectives. First, it is demonstrated that a vibrational paradigm of atomic dynamics in dense fluids can be used to obtain a simple and accurate estimate of the entropy without any adjustable parameters. Second, it is explained why a quasiuniversal value of the excess entropy of simple fluids at the freezing point should be expected, and it is demonstrated that a remaining very weak dependence of the freezing point entropy on the screening parameter in the Yukawa fluid can be described by a simple linear function.

In this paper we investigate the interconnection between vacancy-ordered phases and vacancy self-diffusion. Here, we investigate three ordered phases on a square lattice with energetics defined by two separate Hamiltonians. In the first case we used a classical antiferromagnetic Ising model Hamiltonian in order to generate a 'checkerboard' type ordered structure.

We study the Oslo model, a paradigm for absorbing-phase transition, on a one-dimensional ring of L sites with a fixed global density ρ[over ¯]; we consider the system strictly above critical density ρ_{c}. Notably, microscopic dynamics conserve both mass and center of mass (CoM), but lack time-reversal symmetry. We show that, despite having highly constrained dynamics due to CoM conservation, the system exhibits diffusive relaxation away from criticality and superdiffusive relaxation near criticality.

The ongoing concern of the medical profession regarding chronic medication is related to increasing patient adherence and compliance to treatment and reducing medication side effects. In this respect, drugs represented by fixed-dose combinations of active substances within the same tablet have emerged. Such a principle can be extrapolated by following the potential beneficial effects that a chronic medication can have on chronic pathologies affecting different systems.
