Hepatocellular carcinoma () is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths due to its late diagnosis and restricted therapeutic options. Therefore, the search for appropriate alternatives to commonly applied therapies remains an area of high clinical need. Here we investigated the therapeutic potential of the glucosylceramide synthase (GCS) inhibitor Genz-123346 and the cationic amphiphilic drug aripiprazole on the inhibition of Huh7 and Hepa 1-6 hepatocellular cancer cell and tumor microsphere growth.

() genes play a crucial role in the response to abiotic stress and are important target genes for research on plant stress tolerance mechanisms. Bunge is a promising candidate tree species for investigating the tolerance mechanism of woody plants against abiotic stress. In our previous study, was identified as being associated with seed drought tolerance.

Members of the B-Box (BBX) family of proteins play crucial roles in the growth and development of rice. Here, we identified a rice BBX protein, Oryza sativa BBX2 (OsBBX2), which exhibits the highest expression in the root. The transcription of follows a diurnal rhythm under photoperiodic conditions, peaking at dawn.

This study evaluated the effects of kaempferol (KAE), and vitamin E (VE) on the performance, reproductive hormones, and the composition of the cecum and uterus microbiota in late-laying hens. A total of 192 49-week-old Jinghong No. 1 laying hens were randomly divided into four groups, with six replicates in each group and eight laying hens in each replicate, pre-reared for one week and formally tested for ten weeks.

Background: Myocardial fibrosis, expressed as late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), is an important risk factor for malignant cardiac events in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). However, CMR is not easily available, expensive, also needing intravenous access and contrast.
Objective: To determine if derived vectorcardiographic spatial QRS-T angles, an aspect of advanced ECG (A-ECG), can indicate LGE to appropriately prioritize young HCM-patients for CMR.
