In this report, we demonstrate a novel way to tune the fluorescence property of electrospun conjugated polymer fibers. The basic strategy is to use a soluble precursor polymer with gold nanoparticles for electrospinning, which is then cross-linked by applying potential cycles in an electrochemical cell. Electroactive carbazole units in electrospun precursor polymer fibers were converted to conjugated polymer fibers. Since the conjugated polymer fibers can be formed, the fluorescence from the conjugated polymer fibers can be tuned by the rate of the conversion and doping of the fibers. Furthermore, the quenching of the fluorescence, which overlaps with the plasmon band of the gold nanoparticles, was observed. The quenching of the fluorescence properties of the fibers was dependent on the amount of gold nanoparticles inside the fibers.

The escalating emissions of anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO) and the pervasive issue of nondegradable plastic pollution underscore dual urgent challenges in pursuit of a sustainable society. Achieving such sustainability in the plastic industry, while effectively addressing these environmental concerns, necessitates the development and implementation of innovative strategies for the synthesis of biodegradable polymers utilizing CO as feedstocks. The technologies not only facilitate the mitigation of elevated atmospheric CO concentrations but also introduce a renewable carbon resource for polymer manufacturing.

In the previous study, discarded oyster farming bamboo scaffolding (BS) demonstrated the potential for application in pulping and papermaking through the soda pulping process. However, soda pulping involves high temperatures and chemical dosages. Therefore, this study develops an alternative pulping process to lower temperature and chemical demands by utilizing a high-consistency kneader (HCK), simultaneously promoting the utilization of BS in pulping and papermaking.

The adoption of pultruded glass fibre-reinforced polymer (pGFRP) composites as a substitute for traditional wooden cross-arms in high transmission towers represents a relatively novel approach. These materials were selected for their high strength-to-weight ratio and lightweight properties. Despite various studies focusing on structures improvement, there still have a significant gap in understanding the deformation characteristics of full-scale cross-arms under actual operational loads.

Car accidents, infections caused by bacteria or viruses, metastatic lesions, tumors, and malignancies are the most frequent causes of chest wall damage, leading to the removal of the affected area. After excision, artificial bone or synthetic materials are used in chest wall reconstruction to restore the skeletal structure of the chest. Chest implants have traditionally been made from metallic materials like titanium alloys due to their biocompatibility and durability.

To simplify the composition and improve the efficacy of metal-phenolic network (MPN)-based nanomedicine, herein, we designed an MPN platform to deliver programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) antibody (anti-PD-L1) for combined tumor chemo/chemodynamic/immune therapy. Here, generation 5 poly(amidoamine) dendrimers conjugated with gossypol (Gos) through boronic ester bonds were used as a synthetic polyphenol to coordinate Mn, and then complexed with anti-PD-L1 to obtain the nanocomplexes (for short, DPGMA). The prepared DPGMA exhibited good water dispersibility with a hydrodynamic size of 166.
