Patients with intracranial aneurysm (IA) are at high risk of cerebral hemorrhage, which is associated with high mortality. Craniotomy or interventional endovascular coiling are common treatment methods in clinical practice, depending on the patient's condition. However, the recurrence rate of IA after either method remains unclear.

Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM) is a rare complication that can manifest as Bing-Neel syndrome (BNS) or as histological transformation (HT) to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We report data from a single-center cohort of 469 patients consecutively diagnosed with WM between 2000 and 2022. BNS was identified in 1.

Advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques are transforming the study of movement disorders by providing valuable insights into disease mechanisms. This narrative review presents a comprehensive overview of their applications in this field, offering an updated perspective on their potential for early diagnosis, disease monitoring, and therapeutic evaluation. Emerging MRI modalities such as neuromelanin-sensitive imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging, magnetization transfer imaging, and relaxometry provide sensitive biomarkers that can detect early microstructural degeneration, iron deposition, and connectivity disruptions in key regions like the substantia nigra.

Departamento de Medicina Preventiva Animal, Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias y Pecuarias, Universidad de Chile, Santiago, Chile.

Influenza A virus (IAV) continuously threatens animal and public health globally, with swine serving as a crucial reservoir for viral reassortment and evolution. In Chile, H1N2 and H3N2 subtypes were introduced in the swine population before the H1N1 2009 pandemic, and the H1N1 was introduced from the H1N1pdm09 by successive reverse zoonotic events. Here, we report two novel introductions of IAV H3N2 human-origin in Chilean swine during 2023.
