Background: Chinese sirolimus-eluting stents (SES) have been widely used in recent years. However, the comparison of clinical outcomes between Chinese and foreign SES remains unknown.
Objectives: To compare the outcomes of Chinese SES (Firebird) with foreign SES (Cypher Select) in the treatment of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: 4000 consecutive patients treated with SESs from January 2008 to December 2009 were included in this study. Based on the differences of the stents, the patients were divided into a Chinese SES group (Firebird; n = 2008) and a foreign SES group (Cypher Select; n = 1992). Outcomes were monitored for 1 year. The primary clinical endpoint was major adverse cardiac events (MACE): a composite of death, non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI) and target-vessel revascularisation (TVR).
Results: No differences were observed in the incidence of MACE (17.8% vs. 18.6%, p = 0.514) and TVR rate (9.0% vs. 8.6%, p = 0.632) during 1-year follow-up.
Conclusions: Chinese SES and foreign SES have similar effects on 1-year clinical outcomes and safety.

Based on the Reserve Capacity Model, this study examined the effect of SES(socioeconomic status) on health status on the health status of menopausal mothers of multicultural families, focusing on mediating effects of self-esteem, assimilation, integration, separation, marginalization, and daily life stress. This is a cross-sectional survey study with secondary analysis of national data on 683 perimenopausal mothers in multicultural families from the 9th Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study surveyed by the Korea Youth Policy Institute in 2019. The subjects were women aged 45-55 years and foreign nationals by origin.

Background: Identification of groups at a high-risk of gastric cancer (GC) could facilitate targeted screening in countries with a low GC incidence. Our aim was to identify such high-risk groups, based on individual-level population data on migration history and socioeconomic status (SES) in the Netherlands.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, patient data from the Netherlands cancer registry were linked to demographic data of Statistics Netherlands in the period 2010-2022.

Background: Residence in ethnic enclaves and nativity are both associated with survival in Hispanic patients with cancer, although their prognostic significance in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is unknown. We aimed to determine the association between nativity, neighborhood socioeconomic status (nSES), and ethnic enclave residency with overall survival in Hispanic patients with HCC.
Methods: Hispanic patients diagnosed with HCC from 2004 to 2017 were identified in the Texas Cancer Registry.

Background: Exposure to phthalates during the pubertal window is linked to an increased risk of chronic diseases. Understanding temporal trends in exposure can inform public health initiatives.
Objective: Characterize temporal trends in phthalate metabolite levels in adolescent girls overall and by sociodemographic characteristics.
