Background: Malignant dysgerminomas are infrequently reported ovarian neoplasms in animals, especially in exotic pets (non-traditional companion animals [NTCAs]). In the few published case reports on reptilian species, examples are primarily postmortem without antemortem (clinical) assessment.
Patient Presentation: An adult, 13-year-old, spayed female inland bearded dragon (Pogona vitticeps) presented with lethargy, a right-sided head tilt, unilateral exophthalmos and ventrotemporal strabismus on the right eye.
Presumed hemocytic neoplasms in scorpions.

Although neoplasia has been documented in invertebrates, it has not been reported in scorpions. This report describes presumed hemocytic neoplasia in 2 scorpions: a >3-year-old, female emperor scorpion ( and a >4-year-old, male, Asian forest scorpion ( sp.).

Koi(Cyprinus carpio) is an ornamental variety of common carp frequently kept as pets. Given their long lifespan, neoplasia, albeit uncommon, may occur in these animals, and only a few studies have faced their cytological diagnosis. In the present case, a koi carp was referred to the clinicians due to coelomic swelling.

With global climate changing, hypo-salinity events are increasing in frequency and duration because of continuous rainfall and freshwater inflow, which causes reduced cytosolic osmolarity and cellular stress responses in aquatic animals. Sea cucumbers are considered stenohaline because they lack osmoregulatory organs and are vulnerable to salinity fluctuations. In this study, we performed multiple biochemical assays, de novo transcriptomics, and widely targeted metabolomics to comprehensively explore the osmoregulatory mechanisms and physiological responses of sea cucumber Holothuria moebii to hypo-osmotic stress, which is a representative specie that is frequently exposed to hypo-saline intertidal zones.
