Research was conducted into the influence of pharmaceutical excipients on model soft gel capsules filling containing ibuprofen. The HPLC method was employed to assess the changes of active substance content and level of impurities depending on excipients of soft gel capsule filling. HPLC analysis after 6 months stability tests was conducted and active substance content and the level of impurities were assessed in soft gelatin capsules to evaluate the influence of excipients of the shell on tested parameters. Obtained results were determining the purpose application of ibuprofen containing soft gelatin capsules and implementing new drug to the market.

Background: Peri-implant diseases, such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis, are inflammatory conditions caused by biofilms that can lead to the loss of surrounding soft tissues and bone. The most effective treatment involves non-surgical mechanical debridement to remove plaque, but other treatment modalities have shown limited success. This study investigated the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of atorvastatin (ATV) gel as an additional treatment for peri-implant mucositis.

Background: Cell membrane chromatography (CMC) is a biochromatography with a dual function of recognition and separation, offering a distinct advantage in screening bioactive compounds from Chinese medicines (CMs). Yindan Xinnaotong soft capsule (YD), a CM formulation, has been widely utilized in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. However, a comprehensive mapping of the myocardial protective active compounds remains elusive.

Composite gels are a type of soft matter, which contains a continuous three-dimensional crosslinked network and has been embedded with non-gel materials. Compared to pure gels, composite gels show high flexibility and tunability in properties and hence have attracted extensive interest in applications ranging from cancer therapy to tissue engineering. In this study, we incorporated triethylenetetramine (TETA)-functionalized cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (ANPs) into a hydrogel consisting of sodium alginate (SA) and methyl cellulose (MC), and examined the resulting composite gels for controlled drug release.
