An efficient synthetic method for monomer ribonucleotide synthons containing 2'-O-methoxymethyl and 2'O-(p-nitrobenzyloxy)methyl groups used for oligonucleotide phosphotriester method with O-nucleophilic intramolecular catalysis at the stage of formation of internucleotide bond is developed. It is shown that synthons containing protecting 2'-O-(p-nitrobenzyloxy)methyl group may be used for automatic synthesis of phosphotriester oligoribonucleotides with high yields and synthons containing methoxymethyl group--to get 2'-O-modified oligonucleotides.

The cascade reaction of 3-diazo-2-sulfonyliminoindolines and -methoxymethyl--[(trimethylsilyl)methyl]benzylamines generates 2-sulfonylimino-1',3',4',6'-tetrahydro-2'-spiro[indoline-3,5'-pyrimidine] and spiro[indoline-3,3'-pyrrolidine] derivatives simultaneously under the catalysis of TFA and blue light irradiation. Their formation mechanisms were proposed on the basis of isotope-labeled experiments and HRMS analysis of the controlled experiment mixture, showing new reaction pathways. The current reaction provides a new strategy for the synthesis of biologically important spiro[indoline-3,3'-pyrrolidine]-2-one derivatives.

Article Synopsis
  • The study analyzed 140 dust samples from various indoor settings to investigate the presence of twelve different amine-based rubber additives, revealing significant detection rates for several compounds.
  • The highest concentrations of these additives were found in parking lots, suggesting that vehicle-related sources contribute heavily to indoor pollution, although they were also present in non-vehicle environments like markets and hotels.
  • The research underscores potential health risks, especially for toddlers who have the highest estimated daily intake of these additives through dust ingestion, indicating a need for further investigation and monitoring of indoor air quality regarding these compounds.

Chromatographic fractionation of CHCl:MeOH (1:1) extract of Schott cultivated in Egypt afforded four compounds, lupeol acetate (), -13--manoyl oxide (), 5-methoxymethyl-7,8-dimethyltocol (), and -tocopherol quinone (). The planar structures of the isolated compounds were concluded based on HRESIMS and NMR spectroscopy. X-ray crystallography of is reported herein for the first time and its unambiguous absolute configuration was deduced from anomalous dispersion.
