The present study aimed to evaluate the histologic, histochemical, and immunohistochemical changes in buffalo livers with cystic echinococcosis. Noninfected and infected livers were collected from the freshly slaughtered buffalo at the Aligarh abattoir. Small pieces of both infected and noninfected livers ( = 5) were cut and processed for histologic and histochemical studies.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, pruritic skin disease characterized by inflammation and skin lesion cornification. While the use of corticosteroids like dexamethasone (DXM), an antiinflammatory drug, improves symptoms temporarily and quickly, this use is not a cure. Thus, we aimed to identify a new therapeutic strategy for AD using quantum molecular resonance (QMR), a novel non-invasive technique with an electromagnetic field-based therapeutic approach as an alternative to pain killers.

Allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) has been a longstanding treatment for allergic diseases. Historically, subcutaneous immunotherapy was the main approach, but with the development of sublingual preparations, which are associated with fewer systemic side effects, sublingual immunotherapy is gaining global popularity. In Japan, the approval of standardized sublingual immunotherapy preparations in 2014 has significantly accelerated its adoption.

Mast cells exert multiple roles beyond their classical role in IgE-mediated allergic reactions. These cells secrete pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory agents and change from protective immune cells to pro-inflammatory cells, capable of influencing the progression of different pathological conditions, including tumors, in which they exert anti-tumorigenic and pro-tumorigenic roles. In this context, this article analyzes the potential role played by mast cell-derived proteases in tumor progression and more specifically in driving metastatic process and the potential therapeutic approaches that inhibiting the activation of these cells could help faith cancer spreading.
