Primary pigmented nodular adrenocortical disease (PPNAD) is a rare adrenal tumour causing corticotrophin-independent Cushing's syndrome. It occurs mainly in children and young adults. The histological examination is characterised by small pigmented micronodules on the adrenal cortex. The diagnosis is most often seen in patients with Carney Complex, but it can also occur in isolation. We report a case of Carney Complex that was referred for adrenalectomy. The procedure was uneventful and the patient was well at discharge. The adrenal pathology showed numerous black nodules measuring less than 2mm in diameter. This feature was pathognomonic of primary pigmented nodular adrenocortical disease.

Background: Following injury and disruption of the retinal barrier, retinal pigment epithelium can differentiate into a fibroblastic phenotype, leading to proliferation and migration, thereby resulting in pathological conditions such as proliferative vitreoretinopathy and diabetic retinopathy. Previous studies have detected the specific expression of serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 10 (SRSF10) in the retina; however, its specific function has not been thoroughly studied. SRSF10 has been hypothesized to play an important role in retinal function.

The Tibetan Plateau is an important area for persistent organic pollutants (POPs) research because of high-altitude condensation and global distillation. However, the sources of the POPs in remote regions have not been quantified, which is critical for global control of POPs. The Gyirong Valley in the Himalayas bordering Nepal serves as an important pathway for cross-border transport of POPs to the Tibetan Plateau.

Purpose: We describe a rare case of two simultaneous primary conjunctival melanomas in the same eye that were treated sequentially with both plaque brachytherapy and proton beam radiotherapy following wide surgical excision.
Observations: A 66-year-old male presented with two pigmented lesions that were concerning for conjunctival melanoma. One of the lesions was on the bulbar conjunctiva near the corneal limbus, and the other in the lower fornix.
