Global citrus production has been severely affected by citrus Huanglongbing (HLB) disease, caused by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (Clas), and the development of effective control methods are crucial. This study employed antimicrobial lipopeptide and phytohormone complex powder (L1) prepared from the fermentation broth of the endophytic plant growth promoting bacterium (PGPB) of strain MG-2 to treat Liberibacter asiaticus (Las)-infected ' 'Chun Jian' plants. Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and PCR were employed for disease detection.

Z-nucleic acid binding protein 1 (ZBP1) is an innate immune sensor recognizing nucleic acids in Z-conformation. Upon Z-nucleic acid sensing, ZBP1 triggers innate immune activation, inflammation, and programmed cell death during viral infections, mice development, and inflammation-associated diseases. The Zα domains of ZBP1 sense Z-nucleic acids and promote RIP-homotypic interaction motif (RHIM)-dependent signaling complex assembly to mount cell death and inflammation.

Suppression of chimeric antigen receptor-modified T (CAR-T) cells by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment remains a major barrier to their efficacy against solid tumors. To address this, we develop an anti-PD-L1-expressing nanovesicle loaded with the STING agonist cGAMP (aPD-L1 NVs@cGAMP) to remodel the tumor microenvironment and thereby enhance CAR-T cell activity. Following pulmonary delivery, the nanovesicles rapidly accumulate in the lung and selectively deliver STING agonists to PD-L1-overexpressing cells via the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction.

Sugarcane smut caused by is a global sugarcane disease, and studying its molecular pathogenesis is crucial for discovering new prevention and control targets. This study was based on the transcriptome sequencing data of two isolates with different pathogenicities ( and ) of the and screened out a gene encoding the Major Facility Superfamily (MFS) sugar transporter protein and named it . Knockout mutants ( and ) and complementary mutants ( and ) were obtained through polyethylene glycol (PEG)-mediated protoplast transformation technology.

Cirrhotic cardiomyopathy is defined as systolic and diastolic dysfunction in patients with cirrhosis, in the absence of any primary heart disease. These changes are mainly due to the malfunction or abnormalities of cardiomyocytes. Similar to non-cirrhotic heart failure, cardiomyocytes in cirrhotic cardiomyopathy demonstrate a variety of abnormalities: from the cell membrane to the cytosol and nucleus.
