We discuss an experimentally amenable class of two-particle states of motion giving rise to nonlocal spatial interference under position measurements. Using the concept of modular variables, we derive a separability criterion which is violated by these non-Gaussian states. While we focus on the free motion of material particles, the presented results are valid for any pair of canonically conjugate continuous variable observables and should apply to a variety of bipartite interference phenomena.

Highly Stable Flexible SERS-Imprinted Membrane Based on Plasmonic MOF Material for the Selective Detection of Chrysoidin in Environmental Water.

Chrysoidin (CG) can be ingested into the human body through the skin and cause chronic toxicity, so the detection of CG levels in the environment is crucial. In this study, we synthesize F-Ag@ZIF-8/PVC molecular-imprinted membranes (FZAP-MIM) by an innovative combination of SERS detection, membrane separation, and a molecular-imprinted technique in order to perform the analysis of CG in water. The plasmonic MOF material as a SERS substrate helps to enrich the target and realize the spatial overlap of the target with the nanoparticle tip "hotspot".

Interference from a salient distractor is typically reduced when the appearance of the distractor follows either spatial or feature-based regularities. Although there is a growing body of literature on distractor location learning, the understanding of distractor feature learning remains limited. In the current study, we investigated distractor feature learning by using EEG measures.

Background: Mitochondrial dysfunction and neuronal damage are major sign of cytopathology in Huntington's disease (HD), a neurodegenerative disease. Ubiquitin specific peptidase 11 (USP11) is a deubiquitinating enzyme involved in various physiological processes through regulating protein degradation. However, its specific role in HD is unclear.

Owing to its high sensitivity, surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has immense potential for the identification of lung cancer from the variation in volatile biomarkers in the exhaled gas. However, two prevailing factors limit the application of SERS: 1) the adsorption of target molecules into SERS hotspots and 2) the detection specificity in multiple interference environments. To improve the density of the SERS hotspots, 3D Au@Ag-Au particles are prepared in a porous nanoframes (PPFs) based plasmonic structure, which facilitated a richer local electromagnetic field distribution among the Au nanocubic (NC) cores, Au-Ag porous nanoframes, and Au nanoparticles, thereby promoting the adsorption probability of gaseous aldehydes into the hotspots.

In multi-dimensional nanopositioning and nanomeasuring devices, interference measurement is widely used. The three-dimensional (3D) target mirror serves as the spatial reference plane to achieve multidimensional interference measurements. However, the surface shape errors of the target mirror are superimposed on the geometric dimensions of the measured workpiece, which limits the system's overall measurement accuracy.
