Background: Literature on prehospital anaesthesia predominantly focuses on preparation and induction, while there is limited guidance on anaesthesia maintenance. The hypothesis of this study was that for prehospital trauma patients, protocols and practice for anaesthesia maintenance may vary considerably between services. While primary EBV infection triggers severe diseases in each, lymphomas occur at high rates with XLP-1 but not with XLP-2. Why XLP-2 patients are apparently protected from EBV-driven lymphomagenesis, in contrast to all other described congenital conditions that result in heightened susceptibility to EBV, remains a key open question.

BC cells that express the pro-metastatic actin regulatory protein MenaINV have an enhanced ability to migrate and intravasate within the primary tumor and extravasate at secondary sites. Though chemotherapy improves patient survival, treatment with paclitaxel leads to upregulation of MenaINV and an increase in metastasis in mice.

Carbon monoxide (CO) oxidising microorganisms are present in volcanic deposits throughout succession, with levels of vegetation and soil influencing the communities present. Carboxydovores are a subset of CO oxidisers that use CO as an energy source, which raises questions about the physiological and metabolic features that make them more competitive in harsh volcanic ecosystems. To address these questions, samples were taken from volcanic strata formed by eruptions from Calbuco Volcano (Chile) in 2015 (tephra) and 1917 (soil).
