Intraduodenal administration of pancreatic secret into the dog intestine inhibited the secretion of enzymes by the pancreas. This inhibitory effect is eliminated or diminished by simultaneous administration of the enzyme adsorbents: activated carbon and gastric mucus. Self-regulatory effects of solubilized and absorbed enzymes in duodenal chyme seem to differ from each other.
