The available experimental rotational constants of cis,trans-1,4-difluorobutadiene do not permit a determination of a complete structure. However, this problem, rather frequent in finding structures, may be solved by the mixed estimation method. The experimental ground state rotational constants are corrected for the rovibrational contribution calculated from an ab initio force field. These semiexperimental data are supplemented by structural parameters from ab initio calculations and a weighted least-squares fit allows us to obtain a reasonable structure. The accuracy of the fitted parameters is checked by optimizing a structure at the coupled cluster level. A good agreement is found between the two methods, validating our procedure.

This article proposed a simultaneous equation model for small area estimation with random area and time-varying effects called the Simultaneous Equation Rao-Yu (SERY) model. Background: Given the chronic immune activation and inflammatory milieu associated with Long COVID and HIV, we assessed the prevalence of Long COVID in adults living with HIV; and investigated whether adults living with HIV were associated with increased chance of developing Long COVID compared to adults living without HIV.
Methods: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched Medline, EMBASE, CINHAL, PubMed and CENTRAL from inception until June 14th, 2024, for observational studies that measured the prevalence of Long COVID in adults living with HIV and the odds of developing Long COVID following a SARS-CoV-2 infection in people living with HIV compared to people living without HIV. Reviews, case reports, randomised control trials and editorials were excluded.
Background: Drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) remains a public health concern in Kenya, with an estimated 2,500 individuals acquiring DR-TB annually. Despite significant progress in DR-TB management, the treatment success rate (TSR) in 2021 stood at 77%, falling short of the 85% target. This low TSR occurs amidst a complex range of treatment challenges, including psychosocial factors.
