Fully conjugated block copolymers containing 1,4- and 1,3-phenylenevinylene repeating units can be prepared by the sequential ring opening metathesis polymerization of strained cyclophanedienes, initiated by ruthenium carbene complexes (Grubbs metathesis catalysts). The molecular weight of the constituent blocks can be tightly controlled by changing the catalyst to monomer ratio and the volume fraction of the block copolymers independently tailored by the ratio of the monomers employed. Extensive phase separation between the constituent blocks is observed in thin films of these polymers by atomic force microscopy and efficient energy transfer between blocks containing 1,4- and 1,3-phenylenevinylene units can be seen in the photoluminescence of these materials.

Here, we present a cationic polymeric micelle (cPM) as a safe and potent co-delivery system with enhanced endosomal escape capabilities. Skin cancer is the world's fifth most diagnosed malignancy and is increasingly occurring in young adults. The elevated morbidity and mortality of skin cancer are known to be highly correlated with its frequent recurrence after tumor excision. Although regimens such as chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy are often administered following surgical treatments, the patients may suffer from severe side effects, drug resistance, and/or high cost during treatments, indicating that the development of an effective and safe modality for skin cancer after surgery is still highly demanded nowadays.

Self-healable, multilayered organosiloxane films were prepared thermal conversion of lamellar organosiloxane films containing poly(ethylene oxide)-polydimethylsiloxane-poly(ethylene oxide) block copolymers. The incorporation of silanolate groups enabled crack healing through dynamic siloxane equilibration. The enhanced hardness and suppressed cyclic siloxane formation resulting from the multilayered structure exhibit potential for practical applications.

In recent years, attempts were made to develop biomaterials using synthetic and natural polymers to induce osteogenesis of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs).
