Introduction: is a formidable pathogen that poses a significant threat to immunocompromised and might cause rare atypical forms of the disease especially complicated with coinfection.
Case: We present a case of a patient with meningoencephalitis, endocarditis, sepsis, and osteomyelitis, highlighting the complexities of managing disseminated polymicrobial infection. A 64-year-old female with multiple myeloma treated with chemotherapy presented with fever, altered mental status, nausea, and diarrhea to the emergency department.

In this study designed to isolate lactic acid bacteria (LAB) with bacteriocin production potential, white cheese samples were collected from different provinces of Turkey and isolation was carried out. A series of experiments were carried out for the main purpose and the actual bacteriocin producers were identified by detecting the genes encoding this bacteriocin. The experiments carried out in this direction were initially carried out with 20 isolates and as a result of various experiments, the number of isolates was reduced to 8 and the study was continued with 8 isolates.

A Proficiency Test (PT) was conducted for Food Emergency Response Network (FERN) laboratories for quantitative assessment of Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes) in queso fresco cheese. The Moffett Proficiency Test Laboratory: MPTL (organizer) prepared test samples for each participating laboratory with 10 CFU/g of L.

This study investigated the difference in survival among Listeria monocytogenes (LM) 10403S (highly pathogenic strain) and M7 (low pathogenic strain) in sausage under a simulated digestive environment, and established intestinal organoids and macrophages co-culture model to further explore the virulence expression difference to intestinal cells between LM 10403S and M7 after in vitro gastrointestinal digestion. Results showed that, compared with LM M7, LM 10403S exhibited a high survival rate during in vitro digestion, which may be due to the increased expression of stress response-related genes. In addition, the expression of virulence genes in LM 10403S was significantly higher than in LM M7 under the gastrointestinal environment.

() is an opportunistic intracellular pathogen that causes listeriosis in human and leads to high mortality rate. is resistant to various antibiotics due to its ability to form biofilm. Designing a new generation of antibiotics is a very expensive and time-consuming process.
