The effects of the new chemical substance BIV-30 on bone marrow hemopoiesis has been studied in laboratory mices on the background of myelosupression induced by a single intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphan in a dose 160 mg/kg. The injection of BIV-30 significantly accelerated lymphocyte, monocyte, granulocyte regeneration branches of bone-marrow hemopoiesis. These results showed evidence of the hemostimulating activity of BIV-30 on the model of bone-marrow hemopoiesis deficiency.

The oral delivery of peptide pharmaceuticals has long been a fundamental challenge in drug development. A new chemical platform was designed based on branched piperazine-2,5-diones for creating orally available biologically active peptidomimetics. The platform includes a bio-carrier with "built-in" functionally active peptide fragments or bioactive molecules that are covalently attached via linkers.

Symptoms of the new coronavirus infection that appeared in 2019 (COVID-19) range from low fever and fatigue to acute pneumonia and multiple organ failure. The clinical picture of COVID-19 is heterogeneous and involves most physiological systems; therefore, drugs with a wide spectrum of mechanism of action are required. The choice of the treatment strategy for post-COVID-19 syndrome is still a challenge to be resolved.

The hemostimulating effects of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) inhibitor were examined on the mouse model of myelosuppression provoked by 5-fluorouracil. Blockade of JNK during postcytostatic period accelerated recovery of granulomonocytopoiesis and erythropoiesis. It also increased the content of neutrophilic granulocytes and erythroid cells in the hematopoietic tissue and elevated the counts of neutrophils and reticulocytes in the peripheral blood.

We compared hemostimulating effects of glyciram, pantohematogen, granulocytic CSF, and D-glucuronic acid preparation on the granulocytic lineage hemopoiesis suppressed by cyclophosphamide or 5-fluorouracil. The effects hemostimulators against the background of 5-fluorouracil treatment were less pronounced that during cyclophosphamide treatment.

Pronounced regenerative effects of alkaloid napelline extracted from Aconitum baicalense on granulocytic hemopoiesis were revealed in the model of cytostatic myelosuppression. Activation of functions of hemopoietic progenitor cells along with increased feeder capacity of the stromal elements in the hemopoiesis inducing microenvironment with decreased levels mesenchymal progenitor cells in the bone marrow are the mechanisms underlying the hemostimulating action of this substance.
