Background: Data on changes in pneumococcal serotypes in hospitalised children following the introduction of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) in low-income and middle-income countries are scarce. In 2016, Mongolia introduced the 13-valent PCV (PCV13) into the national immunisation programme. We aimed to describe the trend and impact of PCV13 introduction on pneumococcal carriage in hospitalised children aged 2-59 months with pneumonia in Mongolia over a 6-year period.

Background: Halyomorpha halys is one of the most damaging invasive agricultural pests in North America and southern Europe. It is commonly monitored using pheromone traps, which are not very effective because few bugs are caught and some escape and/or remain outside the trap on surrounding plants where they feed, increasing the damage. Other monitoring techniques are based on visual sampling, sweep-netting and tree-beating.

Background: Soybean is the third-greatest global commodity crop with respect to grain production, Brazil is the largest soybean producer in the world. We performed the first extensive survey including all the five main soybean cultivation regions in Brazil over three seasons (2018/2019, 2019/2020, and 2020/2021). A total of 2386 localities were sampled, corresponding to 145 municipalities in 11 states.

Following its first detection in North Italy in 2012, has become a serious threat in many crops, including hazelnut. The present study aimed at investigating dispersal capacity and behavior in relation to host plants of overwintered adults of before the colonization of hazelnut crop. Research was carried out in four polyculture areas (from 14 to 50 ha) in north-western Italy in 2018, by using (i) pheromone-baited traps, (ii) visual inspection and beating sheet sampling, and (iii) immunomarking-capture technique.

Improvements to current brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB), , surveillance and killing systems are needed to improve detection sensitivity and to reduce pesticide use. Detection of BMSB in New Zealand with traps is reliant on sticky panels with aggregation pheromone, which are low cost but inefficient compared with beating foliage. Trapping for BMSB adults and nymphs was conducted daily with lethal traps consisting of an aggregation pheromone-baited-coat hanger covered with dark-colored long-lasting insecticide-treated mesh, we termed "The Nazgȗl", based on its sinister appearance.
