In the title compound, [ZnBr(2)(C(24)H(16)N(6))], the Zn(II) ion is coordinated by the N,N',N''-tridentate 2,3,5,6-tetra-2-pyridyl-pyrazine ligand and two bromide ions, generating a distorted ZnN(3)Br(2) trigonal-bipyramidal geometry for the metal ion, with both bromide ions in equatorial sites. The dihedral angles between the pyrazine ring and the coordinated pyridine rings are 13.3 (2) and 24.8 (2)°; those between the pyrazine ring and the uncoordinated pyradine rings are 31.3 (2) and 44.2 (2)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of weak C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds occur.

Placenta tissue has biological advantages, including anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fibrotic formation, and immunomodulatory properties. The amnion membrane (AM) is an inner side membrane of the placenta that faces the fetus. The main sources of amnion are humans and animals, with bovine being one of the significant sources.

Graphene is a single-layered sp-hybridized carbon allotrope, which is impermeable to all atomic entities other than hydrogen. The introduction of defects allows selective gas permeation; efforts have been made to control the size of these defects for higher selectivity. Permeation of entities other than gases, such as ions, is of fundamental scientific interest because of its potential application in desalination, detection and purification.

Purpose: This study investigated the synergistic effects of reduced graphene oxide (RGO) on the antibacterial activity of three calcium hydroxide-based intracanal medicaments with different vehicles.
Methods: Multispecies biofilms were cultured in a bovine root canal model. Intracanal medicaments containing nonaqueous vehicles, including N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP; CleaniCal), propylene glycol (PG; UltraCal XS), and polyethylene glycol (PEG; Calcipex II), were placed in the model.

An imbalance in iron homeostasis contributes to mitochondrial dysfunction, which is closely linked to the pathogenesis of various diseases. Herein, we developed a nanosensor for detecting mitochondrial ferrous ions in vitro and in vivo. A poly(N-isopropylacrylamine)-coacrylic acid nanohydrogel was synthesized, and ferrous ions were detected using the fluorescent probe FeRhonox-1 embedded within it.

We prepared a cellulose nanofiber (CNF)-based porous membrane with three dimensional cellular structures. CNF was concentrated a surfactant-induced assembly by mixing CNF with a cationic surfactant, domiphen bromide (DB). Furthermore, they were accumulated by centrifugation to obtain a CNF-DB sol.
