Bis[4-(3-amino-phen-oxy)phen-yl] ketone.

Acta Crystallogr Sect E Struct Rep Online

Published: July 2009

In the mol-ecule of the title compound, C(25)H(20)N(2)O(3), the dihedral angles formed by adjacent benzene rings are 66.75 (8), 48.37 (8) and 71.43 (9)°. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules are linked into dimers by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the surface roughness and color stability of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) with those of conventional interim prosthetic materials like polymethylmethacrylate, bis-acrylic composite, and rubberized diurethane dimethacrylate, following immersion in solutions of varying pH value.

Materials And Methods: A total of 320 circular discs with 10 mm diameter and 2 mm height were divided based on the fabrication ( = 80)-group A: polymethylmethacrylate; group B: bis-acrylic composite; group R: rubberized diurethane; and group P: hot-pressed PEEK-and were subjected to baseline measurement of roughness ( = 40) and color ( = 40) using 3D profilometer and UV-Vis spectrophotometer, respectively. Later, 10 samples from each group were immersed in distilled water, black coffee, green tea, and Pepsi, respectively, for 120 days, and measurements of roughness and color were repeated.

Ni-Catalyzed Enantioselective Desymmetrization: Development of Divergent Acyl and Decarbonylative Cross-Coupling Reactions.

Ni-catalyzed asymmetric reductive cross-coupling reactions provide rapid and modular access to enantioenriched building blocks from simple electrophile precursors. Reductive coupling reactions that can diverge through a common organometallic intermediate to two distinct families of enantioenriched products are particularly versatile but underdeveloped. Here, we describe the development of a bis(oxazoline) ligand that enables the desymmetrization of -anhydrides.

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) has been attracting much extensive interest owing to their advantages of high-definition and flexible displays. Many advances have been focused on boosting the efficiency and stability. Two innovative dimethylacridine-based emitters, 1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4- (2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)phenyl ethene (AcTPE), and bis(4-(2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)phenyl)methanone (Ac2BP) were designed and synthesized, in which TPE-baesed AcTPE presents AIE properties, and with the phenyl as spacer between the DMAC and carbony, aryl-ketone-based Ac2BP doesn't show AIE properties due to the absence of restriction of intramolecular rotations.

The effect of photoinitiator systems on resin-based composite containing ZnO-nanoparticles.

Dent Mater

February 2025

Division of Dentistry, School of Medical Sciences, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK; Photon Science Institute, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. Electronic address:

Objective: Zinc oxide (ZnO) powder possesses antibacterial activity and although white in color, it can severely reduce the depth of cure (DoC) of resin-based composite (RBC). This study investigated the effect of unary and binary photoinitiator systems on the DoC and degree of conversion (DC) of formulated RBC containing ZnO-nanoparticles.

Methods: Fourteen RBCs (n = 3/group) were formulated consisting of 50 wt% mixture of monomers (Bis-GMA, TEGDMA, and UDMA) and 50 wt% fillers (inert barium glass powder and silica nanoparticles).
