Potassium yttrium hafnium tris-(orthophosphate) belongs to the langbeinite-family and is built up from [MO(6)] octa-hedra [in which the positions of the two independent M sites are mutually occupied by Y and Hf in a 0.605 (10):0.395 (10) ratio] and [PO(4)] tetra-hedra connected via vertices into a three-dimensional framework. This framework is penetrated by large closed cavities in which the two independent K atoms are located; one of the K atoms is nine-coordinated and the other is 12-coordinated by surrounding O atoms. The K, Y and Hf atoms lie on threefold rotation axes, whereas the P and O atoms are located in general positions.

Controlling spin-polarized currents at the nanoscale is of immense importance for high-density magnetic data storage and spin-based logic devices. As electronic devices are miniaturized to the ultimate limit of individual atoms and molecules, electronic transport is strongly influenced by the properties of the individual spin centers and their magnetic interactions. In this work, we demonstrate the precise control and detection of spin-polarized currents through two coupled spin centers at a tunnel junction by controlling their spin-spin interactions.

Shadow Shield Whole Body Counter (SSWBC) is used to estimate internal dose of radiation workers due to the intake of fission and activation products. The SSWBC geometry was numerically modelled in FLUKA code. The computational model was validated by comparing the experimental and simulated counting efficiencies (CEs), also known as response, using Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) reference BOttle Mannequin Absorption (BOMAB) phantom.

Arsenic (As) is a potent carcinogen that enters the human food chain mainly through rice, which is one of the staple food crops worldwide. During February 2022, a market survey was conducted and 500 samples of rice grains were collected across 41 different locations in Mumbai/Navi-Mumbai. On the basis of grain As-accumulation, samples were grouped into three categories including low- (0-30 ng g DW), medium- (31-70 ng g DW) or high- (>71 ng g DW).

The ZSM-5 zeolite is the key active component in high-severity fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts and is routinely activated by phosphorus compounds in industrial production. To date, however, the detailed structure and function of the introduced phosphorus still remain ambiguous, which hampers the rational design of highly efficient catalysts. In this work, using advanced solid-state NMR techniques, we have quantitatively identified a total of seven types of P-containing complexes in P-modified ZSM-5 zeolite and clearly revealed their structure, location, and catalytic role.
