In the title half-sandwich compound, [Ni(C(6)H(15)N(3))(H(2)O)(3)]Br(NO(3)), the central Ni(II) ion, lying on a threefold rotation axis, is six-coordinated by three amine N atoms from the face-capping triaza macrocycle and three water O atoms in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding and weak O-H⋯Br inter-actions associate the Ni(II) cations and the counter-ions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Herein, we report a cascade annulation of readily available isocyanobiaryls with simple aldehydes photoredox catalysis, providing a straightforward approach towards valuable 6-hydroxyalkylated phenanthridines. Mechanistic studies indicated the generation of a key acyl radical from aldehydes by hydrogen atom abstraction with a bromine radical. This protocol exhibits exceptional chemoselectivity, excellent tolerance of various functional groups and mild reaction conditions.

Background/purpose: Revascularization procedures are used over apexification to treat teeth with necrotic pulp tissues and incomplete root formation. Clinically, inducing proliferation, migration, matrix deposition, and differentiation of stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs) are critical for pulp regeneration. The study aimed to elucidate the impact of bone morphogenetic protein-4 (BMP-4) on plasminogen activation molecules and the osteogenic/odontogenic differentiation of SCAPs, as well as understand the related signaling mechanisms.

Background: Several cases of pheochromocytoma presenting with hypertensive crises after anesthesia induction, possibly caused by rocuronium injection, have been reported. Rocuronium has two compositions: rocuronium bromide (RB) in sodium acetate hydrate/acetic acid buffer solution (acetic acid vehicle) and RB in glycine/hydrochloric acid buffer solution (hydrochloric acid vehicle). This study assessed the effect of rocuronium composition on the release of catecholamine from PC-12 rat adrenal pheochromocytoma cells.
