The hydro-thermal reaction of SrCO(3) and 2-bromo-benzoic acid in CH(3)OH-H(2)O afforded the Sr(II) title polymeric complex, [Sr(C(7)H(4)BrO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n). Within the coordination sphere, the Sr(II) ion is located on a crystallographic twofold axis, and is coordinated by eight O atoms from two water mol-ecules and four carboxyl-ate groups of 2-bromo-benzoate ligands in an irregular coordination geometry. Two μ(3)-carboxyl-ate groups of the 2-bromo-benzoate anions bridge two symmetry-related Sr(II) atoms, giving rise to a chain structure extending along [001]. The polymeric chains are connected via O-H⋯O and O-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

The structures are reported for five salts formed by reactions between -(4-fluoro-phen-yl)piperazine and aromatic acids. In 4-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)piperazin-1-ium 2-fluoro-benzoate monohydrate, CHFN ·CHFO ·HO, (I), the components are linked by a combination of N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form a chain of alternating (12) and (16) rings. The ionic components of 4-(4-fluoro-phen-yl)piperazin-1-ium 2-bromo-benzoate 0.

In the mononuclear title compound, [Co(C(7)H(4)BrO(2))(2)(C(10)H(14)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(II) ion is located on a crystallographic inversion center. The asymmetric unit is completed by one 2-bromo-benzoate anion, one diethyl-nicotinamide (DENA) ligand and one coordinated water mol-ecule; all ligands are monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around Co(II) form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two pyridine N atoms of the DENA ligands in axial positions.

The title Zn(II) complex, [Zn(C(7)H(4)BrO(2))(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], is centrosymmetric with the Zn atom on an inversion center. The mol-ecule contains two 2-bromo-benzoate (BB) and two nicotinamide (NA) ligands and two coordinated water mol-ecules, all ligands being monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Zn atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the NA ligands in the axial positions.

The title Mn(II) complex, [Mn(C(7)H(4)BrO(2))(2)(C(10)H(14)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], is centrosymmetric. The mol-ecule contains two 2-bromo-benzoate (BB) and two diethyl-nicotinamide (DENA) ligands and two water mol-ecules, all ligands being monodentate. The four O atoms in the equatorial plane around the Mn atom form a slightly distorted square-planar arrangement, while the distorted octa-hedral coordination is completed by the two N atoms of the DENA ligands in the axial positions.
