Crystals of the title compound, {(C(6)H(5)C(2)H(4)NH(3))(2)[PbBr(4)]}(n), were grown at room temperature from a solution in N,N-dimethyl-formamide (DMF) using nitro-methane as the poor solvent. This perovskite-type organic-inorganic hybrid compound consists of well ordered sheets of corner-sharing disordered PbBr(6) octa-hedra separated by bilayers of phenethyl-ammonium cations. The octa-hedra are rotated and tilted due to N-H⋯Br hydrogen bonds with the ammonium groups, generating a superstructure in the unit cell similar to that of the tetra-chloridoplumbate (C(6)H(5)C(2)H(4)NH(3))(2)[PbCl(4)].

Objective: To assess the effects of a nurse-led personalized care plan on the duration of olaparib therapy among patients with cancer.

Study Design: Cohort study conducted from January 2020 to June 2022.

Methods: Data from an independent specialty pharmacy were used to identify patients 18 years and older with at least 1 olaparib (Lynparza) prescription who were at high risk for olaparib nonadherence as assessed using a pharmacy intake survey.

CPSF1 inhibition promotes widespread use of intergenic polyadenylation sites and impairs glycolysis in prostate cancer cells.

Localized prostate cancer can be cured by radiation or surgery, but advanced prostate cancer continues to be a clinical challenge. Altered alternative polyadenylation occurs in numerous cancers and can downregulate tumor-suppressor genes and upregulate oncogenes. We found that the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex factor CPSF1 is upregulated in patients with advanced prostate cancer, with high CPSF1 expression correlating with worse progression-free survival.

Breast cancer represents the primary cause of death of women under 65 in developed countries, due to the acquisition of multiple drug resistance mechanisms. The PI3K/AKT pathway is one of the major regulating mechanisms altered during the development of endocrine resistance and inhibition of steps in this signalling pathway are adopted as a key strategy to overcome this issue. ADP-ribosylation is a post-translational modification catalysed by PARP enzymes that regulates essential cellular processes, often altered in diseases.

The synthesis of polyferrocenyldimethylsilane-b-poly(L-glutamic acid) block copolymers was systematically explored. Rod-like and plate-like micelles were prepared from self-assembly of the block copolymers in aqueous solution with two different approaches. In a dissolution-dialysis approach, micelles were prepared by dissolving a block copolymer sample in excess aqueous base followed by the dialysis of the solution against water.

Orienting Gaze Toward a Visual Target: Neurophysiological Synthesis with Epistemological Considerations.

Vision (Basel)

The appearance of an object triggers an orienting gaze movement toward its location. The movement consists of a rapid rotation of the eyes, the saccade, which is accompanied by a head rotation if the target eccentricity exceeds the oculomotor range and by a slow eye movement if the target moves. Completing a previous report, we explain the numerous points that lead to questioning the validity of a one-to-one correspondence relation between measured physical values of gaze or head orientation and neuronal activity.
