Department of Medical Imaging, Tongji Hospital, Tongji University, No. 389, Xincun Road, Putuo District, Shanghai, 200065, China.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values derived from diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) of different Borrmann types of advanced gastric cancer (AGC) and correlate these ADC values with Ki-67 expression and serum CEA levels in AGC.
Methods: A total of 84 patients with AGC who underwent DWI of the upper abdomen before tumor resection in our hospital between June 2014 and July 2018 were included in the present study. DWI was obtained with a single-shot echo planar imaging sequence in the axial plane (b values: 0, 100, 700 and 1000 s/mm).

Objectives: Paravertebral crystal deposition disease, characterized by the deposition of crystals around the vertebral bodies leading to acute inflammation and pain, is a condition that remains largely unrecognized. This study aims to elucidate the prevalence, clinical features, and CT findings associated with this disease.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 14,839 consecutive patients who underwent chest and/or abdominal CT (September 2017 to September 2024) owing to chest, abdominal, or back pain.

This study aimed to validate the effectiveness of MotionFree (MF) in the abdominal region using 2 different PET/CT scanners to determine how to use MF efficiently. All 198 patients underwent respiratory-gated F-FDG PET/CT with MF. Imaging was performed using Discovery MI (DMI) and Discovery IQ (DIQ) PET/CT scanners, and all data were divided into 2 groups in each category (abdominal: upper and lower abdomen, lesion size, <20 mm and ≥20 mm; scanner group: DMI and DIQ).

Purpose: To assess the association between neoadjuvant therapy and overall survival (OS) in patients with left-sided resectable pancreatic cancer (RPC) compared to upfront surgery.
Background: Left-sided pancreatic cancer is associated with worse OS compared to right-sided pancreatic cancer. Although neoadjuvant therapy is currently seen as not effective in patients with RPC, current randomized trials included mostly patients with right-sided RPC.

Gastric duplication cysts (GDCs) are rare cystic neoplasms that are often difficult to distinguish from other entities. Accurate diagnosis of cysts before resection is difficult even using the most advanced imaging techniques. We present a case of a gastric duplication cyst in a 17-year-old female, presenting with discomfort in the upper abdomen.
