Purpose: This study aimed to investigate whether tumor-associated lymphatic vessel density (LVD) could predict the survival of patients with hepato-biliary-pancreatic (HBP) cancers after radical resection.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted using PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library from the inception to July 31, 2024 for literature that reported the role of LVD in overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) of patients with HBP cancers after radical resection.
Results: Ten studies with 761 patients were included for the meta-analysis.
Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) mainly affects the respiratory tract, but different organs may be involved including the kidney. Data on acute kidney injury (AKI) in critical forms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are scarce. We aimed to assess the incidence, risk factors and prognostic impact of AKI complicating critical forms of COVID-19.

Background: Conditional survival (CS) analysis can estimate further survival probabilities based on the time already survived, providing dynamic updates for prognostic information. This study aimed to develop a CS-nomogram to promote individualized disease management for stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: This study included patients diagnosed with stage III NSCLC in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database from 2010 to 2017 ( = 3,512).

Background: In recent years, the incidence of patients with colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (CRNENs) has been continuously increasing. When diagnosed, most patients have distant metastases. Liver metastasis (LM) is the most common type of distant metastasis, and the prognosis is poor once it occurs.

Objective: To evaluate the predictive value of pathological response and lymph node status on progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with potentially resectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receiving neoadjuvant immunotherapy.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 143 patients with potentially resectable NSCLC who underwent neoadjuvant immunotherapy followed by surgical resection. Pathological response, lymph node involvement, and clinical outcomes were comprehensively assessed using Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox regression.
