Objectives: Population ageing and the rise in chronic diseases place continual stress on healthcare systems. Scarce resources often impede equitable access to healthcare, particularly in rural areas, resulting in prolonged waiting times and heightened risks of morbidity and mortality. Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution, offering remote and equitable care that could potentially bridge access gaps and enhance health outcomes.

Background: Women aging with disabilities experience higher rates of chronic pain and co-occurring depressive symptoms than women without disabilities and men with and without disabilities. Pain and depression can exacerbate the inability to fulfill social roles and complete activities of daily living among women with disabilities. Although there are existing interventions for both pain and depressive symptoms, few interventions have been developed with women aging with disabilities that address both chronic pain and depressive symptoms.

The aim of this study was to investigate the level of distress and the quality of life of operated and non-operated patients with pituitary tumors. Patients who presented to a neurosurgical center and two endocrinological services for outpatient follow-up after surgical treatment, as well as those under medical therapy or radiological follow-up without treatment, were invited to participate in the study. Sociodemographic, health-related quality of life and clinical data were assessed.
