Perioperative cardiac arrest (POCA) remains a major challenge in surgical settings, with low survival after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This study aims to identify predictive factors for 24 h survival after CPR and cause of POCA. A retrospective, single-center study was conducted on patients aged ≥18 years who experienced POCA and received CPR in the operating room or within 2 h postoperatively at Chiang Mai University Hospital from 2010 to 2019.

Allergic patients are characterized by complex and patient-specific IgE sensitization profiles to various allergens, which are accompanied by different phenotypes of allergic disease. Molecular allergy (MA) diagnosis establishes the patient's IgE reactivity profile at a molecular allergen level and has moved allergology into the "Precision Medicine" era. Molecular allergology started in the late 1980s with the isolation of the first allergen-encoding DNA sequences.

Background And Aims: Chemotherapy with alternating cycles of vincristine-doxorubicin-cyclophosphamide and ifosfamide-etoposide, along with primary tumor treatment with surgery or radiotherapy or both, constitute the usual treatment of Ewing sarcoma. The AEWS0031 study demonstrated survival benefits after interval-compressed chemotherapy without significant toxicity. The aim of this study was to assess the tolerability of dose-intensified chemotherapy in developing countries like India.

Introduction: Liver cirrhosis, a complex and progressive disease, imposes a significant global health burden, characterized by irreversible liver tissue scarring and various life-threatening complications. Traditionally linked to factors like chronic alcohol consumption and viral hepatitis infections, the rising prevalence of obesity introduces a new dimension to its etiology. As obesity rates continue to climb worldwide, the confluence of liver cirrhosis and bariatric surgery has become an increasingly pertinent and clinically relevant topic of inquiry.
