Purpose: This study investigated the effects of pre-operative topical moxifloxacin prior to cataract surgery on the growth of ocular surface bacteria and induced antibiotic resistance after a 3-day course of moxifloxacin.
Methods: The study was a prospective, dual arm, randomized study. The study group of 17 patients used moxifloxacin four times daily, for three days prior to surgery.

This study analyzed the management of embedded fishhooks, prophylactic antibiotic use, and complication rate at a Michigan county emergency department to observe whether antibiotic use changes patient outcome.

Methods: We performed a literature search of all studies published between January 1, 1990, and January 1, 2022, that investigated causes for disparate outcomes in pregnant individuals with RHD.
