Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), which was first described in 1996, is a neurologic condition characterized by a combination of clinical and neuroimaging findings. PRES may arise in the context of preeclampsia, eclampsia, renal failure, and sepsis, among other conditions. Neuropsychiatric symptoms of PRES include altered mental status, agitation, and in some cases psychosis.

Background: Hypophysitis occurs predominantly in women, usually during pregnancy or postpartum period. Hypophysitis involving the anterior pituitary often presents with adrenal insufficiency.
Design/methods: We describe a 43-year-old woman who presented with recurrent episodes of alteration of sensorium due to hyponatremia.

A 40-year-old female presented to the ED with a history of intermittent headaches since a vaginal delivery 8 days prior. Her pregnancy was unremarkable and was not complicated by pre-eclampsia. She did not present with signs or symptoms consistent with postdural puncture headache or pre-eclampsia.

The midaortic syndrome (MAS) is a rare anomaly, characterised by narrowing of the distal aorta and its major branches. The most common symptom is severe arterial hypertension. The combination of hyponatremia, polyuria and renovascular hypertension caused by a unilateral renal artery stenosis is described as hyponatremic hypertensive syndrome.

Postpartum abdominal distention and meconium ileus may occur due to intestinal obstruction, Hirschprung disease or cystic fibrosis. However, other rare and challenging etiologies such as congenital chloride diarrhea (CCD) should be included in differential diagnosis of such presentation. We present a premature baby girl who had distended abdomen and lack of meconium immediately after birth.
