Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Shengyang Yiwei Decoction (SYD) combined with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor(SSRI) antidepressants on the total score and scores of factors of the Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HAMD-17) and somatic symptoms in patients with depression.
Methods: This was a retrospective study. One hundred and twenty patients with depression were treated in Hebei Provincial Mental Health Center between December 2020 and May 2022 and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 60 patients in each group.

Background: Low-dose amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA), was superior to placebo for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in the AmitripTyline at Low-dose ANd Titrated for Irritable bowel syndrome as Second-line treatment (ATLANTIS) trial.
Objective: To perform post hoc analyses of ATLANTIS for predictors of response to, and tolerability of, a TCA.
Design: ATLANTIS randomised 463 adults with IBS to amitriptyline (232) or placebo (231).

: Mirtazapine (MRZ) is a psychotropic drug prescribed to manage serious sorts of depression. By virtue of its extensive initial-pass metabolic process with poor water solubility, the ultimate bioavailability when taken orally is a mere 50%, necessitating repeated administration. The current inquiry intended to fabricate nose-to-brain chitosan-grafted cationic leciplexes of MRZ (CS-MRZ-LPX) to improve its pharmacokinetic weaknesses and boost the pharmacodynamics aspects.

Physical exercise (PE) as antidepressive intervention is a promising alternative, as shown by multiple meta-analyses. However, there is no consensus regarding optimal intensity and duration of exercise, and there are no objective criteria available for personalized indication of treatment. The aims of this study were (1) to evaluate whether individual activity patterns before intervention can predict the response to treatment; and (2) to evaluate whether the patient outcome can be improved by using prior information on treatment efficacy at individual level.
