Objectives: To compare the frequency of previously in vitro-selected integrase mutations (T124A, T124A/S153F, S153Y, T124A/S153Y and L101I/T124A/S153Y) conferring resistance to S/GSK1349572 between HIV-1 subtype B integrase inhibitor (INI)-naive and raltegravir-treated patients.
Methods: Integrase sequences from 650 INI-naive patients and 84 raltegravir-treated patients were analysed.
Results: The T124A mutation alone and the combination T124A/L101I were more frequent in raltegravir-failing patients than in INI-naive patients (39.3% versus 24.5%, respectively, P = 0.005 for T124A and 20.2% versus 10.0%, respectively, P = 0.008 for T124A/L101I). The S153Y/F mutations were not detected in any integrase sequence (except for S153F alone, only detected in one INI-naive patient).
Conclusions: T124A and T124A/L101I, more frequent in raltegravir-treated patients, could have some effect on raltegravir response and their presence could play a role in the selection of other mutations conferring S/GSK1349572 resistance. The impact of raltegravir-mediated changes such as these on the virological response to S/GSK1349572 should be studied further.

Introduction: Dolutegravir (DTG) + lamivudine (3TC) demonstrated high rates of virologic suppression (VS) and low rates of virologic failure (VF), discontinuation, and drug resistance in randomized trials. Real-world evidence can support treatment effectiveness, safety, and tolerability in clinical practice and aid in treatment decisions.
Methods: A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to identify studies using DTG + 3TC (January 2013-March 2024).

Indonesia has one of the highest HIV infection rates in Southeast Asia. The use of dolutegravir, an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI), as a first-line treatment underscores the need for detailed data on INSTI drug resistance mutations (DRMs). Currently, there is a lack of comprehensive data on DRMs INSTI and other HIV drug resistance in Indonesian patients, both pre- and post-treatment.

User adherence contributes to the effectiveness of topical pre-exposure prophylactic products designed to protect against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infection. Long-acting approaches that do not require daily or coitally-dependent use could potentially improve user adherence. This study aims to develop a long-acting vaginal film to deliver an integrase inhibitor, MK-2048, for prevention of HIV-1 infection.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of ART duration and CD4 count on risk for high grade cervical dysplasia in women with HIV (WWH) compared to women without HIV in the treat-all era with integrase strand inhibitors (INSTIs).
Design: Prospective longitudinal cohort study in Botswana.
Methods: From February 2021 to August 2022, baseline HPV self-sampling was offered to women with and without HIV.

Objective: Most data published on adolescents living with HIV (ALH) have been collected before the large diffusion of second-generation integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTI) among the pediatric population. We analyzed the nationwide ANRS-MIE CO10 Pediatric cohort to assess the changes over time in health and social outcomes of French ALH.
Design: The cohort enrolled children born in France since 1985 and, from 2005, children diagnosed with HIV at ≤13 years, including those born abroad if antiretroviral-naive at first medical care in France.
