We address the question of whether superfluidity can survive in the case of fermion pairing between different species with mismatched Fermi surfaces using as an example a population-imbalanced mixture of 6Li atomic Fermi gas loaded in a two-dimensional optical lattice at nonzero temperatures. The collective mode is calculated from the Bethe-Salpeter equations in the general random phase approximation assuming a Fulde-Ferrell order parameter. The numerical solution shows that, in addition to low-energy (Goldstone) mode, two rotonlike minima exist, and therefore, the superfluidity can survive in this imbalanced system.

The anomalous gas sensing behavior has garnered significant attention from researchers, prompting a re-evaluation of the gas sensing theory. This work focuses on inversion gas sensing behavior induced by element doping. W/Mo/Cr-doped VO(M1) samples are synthesized, and their sensing behaviors are investigated.

The concept of non-Hermiticity has expanded the understanding of band topology, leading to the emergence of counter-intuitive phenomena. An example is the non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE), which involves the concentration of eigenstates at the boundary. However, despite the potential insights that can be gained from high-dimensional non-Hermitian quantum systems in areas such as curved space, high-order topological phases and black holes, the realization of this effect in high dimensions remains unexplored.

The formation of dark states is an important concept in quantum sciences, but its compatibility with strong interparticle interactions-for example, in a quantum degenerate gas-is hardly explored. Here, we realize a dark state in one of the spins of a two-component, resonantly interacting Fermi gas using a Λ system within the D_{2} transitions of ^{6}Li at high magnetic field. The dark state is created in a micrometer-sized region within a one-dimensional channel connecting two superfluid reservoirs.

Atomically precise metal nanoclusters (MNCs) composed of a few to hundreds of metal atoms represent an emerging class of nanomaterials with a precise composition. With the size approaching the Fermi wavelength of electrons, their energy levels are well-separated, leading to molecule-like properties, like discrete single electronic transitions, tunable photoluminescence (PL), inherent structural anisotropy, and distinct redox behavior. Extensive synthetic efforts and electronic structure revelation have expanded applicability of MNCs in catalysis, optoelectronics, and biology.
