We report a 75-year-old man who was initially suggested to have acute leukemia. The hemoglobin level was 3.8 g/dL, white cell count was 7,700/µL with an absence of mature neutrophils and 69.0% leukemic cells, and platelet was 0.4 × 10(4)/µL. Coombs' antiglobulin test was positive. Leukemic cells were CD5(-), CD10(+), CD20(+), CD23(-), and IgG/λ(dim+). The bone marrow consisted of normal hematopoietic precursors, whereas fluorescence in situ hybridization detected the BCL2/IgH fusion gene. He was treated with rituximab-containing chemotherapy, resulting in the resolution of pancytopenia. The underlying disease was a leukemic B-cell tumor with t(14;18)(q32;q21), and the pancytopenia was mainly caused by autoimmune mechanisms.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression. They have been associated with several diseases and cancers, including chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). CLL is the most common form of adult leukemia, and its pathogenesis is driven by the deletion of miRNAs, such as the miR-15a/16-1 cluster.

Historically, CLL prognostication relied on disease burden, reflected in clinical stage. Later, chromosome abnormalities and genomics suggested several CLL subtypes which were aligned with response to therapy. Gene expression profiling data identified pathways associated with CLL progression.

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a frequent complication of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Objectives: We aimed to identify molecular markers and signatures of leukemia microenvironment associated with VTE in childhood ALL, by dual-omics approach of gene expression (GEP) and DNA-methylation profiling.
Patients/methods: Eligible children were aged 1-21 years old with newly diagnosed ALL enrolled on the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 16-001 trial with available RNA sequencing data from bone marrow at diagnosis.

Backgroud: The high cost of blinatumomab in full doses of full treatments has led to dose reduction and fewer treatment cycles for most patients in China. With current needs for cost-efficiency and resource management in health care, we retrospectively evaluated the clinical effects of short-course blinatumomab treatment for R/R Ph- B-ALL at our center.
Methods: Blinatumomab was administered with 24-h continuous intravenous infusion (9 μg/day for the first 3 days and 28 μg/day for 6-10 days).
