Examination of the active and passive range of motion of the shoulder joint is of major importance when diagnosing shoulder disorders. Abduction and external exorotation movements of the shoulder joint can be judged reliably. Limitations in the range of abduction indicate subacromial pathology and limitations in the range of external exorotation indicate glenohumeral pathology. Other shoulder joint movement tests have only low inter-rater reliability. Palpation of the shoulder serves no useful purpose if inspection of the joint and examination of the active range of motion reveal no abnormal signs. The value of physical examination tests that identify impingement or stability of the shoulder joint has not been reliably demonstrated.

Objective: To explore effectiveness of TiRobot-assisted screw implantation in the treatment of coracoid process fractures of the scapula.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data from 24 patients with coracoid process fractures of the scapula admitted between September 2019 and January 2024 and met selection criteria. Among them, 12 patients underwent TiRobot-assisted screw implantation (robot group) and 12 underwent manual screw implantation (control group) during internal fixation.

Hypothesis And Background: The incidence of prosthetic joint infection (PJI) remains high following elbow arthroplasty procedures. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Surgical Helmet Systems (SHS) reduce rates of PJI after elbow arthroplasty in a population-based registry study over a consecutive 23-year period. We hypothesized SHS would reduce the incidence of PJI compared with conventional surgical gowns following elbow arthroplasty surgery.

Ureteral papillary carcinoma is a rare subtype of urothelial carcinoma, ranking fourth among cancers following prostate (or breast) cancer, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. Although previous studies have documented bone metastases mainly in the pelvis, spine, ribs, and femur, this case report presents the first recorded instance of metastasis occurring in the acromioclavicular joint. A 62-year-old woman with a history of left flank pain and macroscopic hematuria underwent a left nephroureterectomy, which revealed ureteral papillary carcinoma.
