Health care professionals should have comprehensive training, especially in the humanitarian aspects of care. This is essential to enable them to correctly resolve ethical conflicts that arise in professional practice. Starting from this premise, the article discusses some representative situations nurses encounter daily in their contacts with patients. An examination is made of the ethical aspects of the following: ordinary nursing activities; standards with regard to hospital visits by family members; administration of analgesics; schedules for feeding, drug administration, and the like; clinical research; professional secrecy; free professional practice; and death with dignity.

Background: Patients with heart failure (HF) can experience a poor quality-of-life (QOL), recurring hospitalizations, and progressive disease symptoms. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) integrate patients' voices into clinical care, by assessing patient symptoms, function, and QOL. Background: The present study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) about pharmacovigilance (PV) practices among health care professionals, that is, pharmacists and nursing staff before and after educational intervention in a tertiary care hospital.
Methods: This was an observational and questionnaire-based pre- and post-test educational interventional study involving pharmacists and nursing staff. A 15-point prevalidated questionnaire on KAP about PV was distributed to pharmacists and nursing staff before and after educational intervention.
