A 20-year-old woman was referred to our hospital with complaints of both knees due to patellofemoral pain. Osteopathia striata, a rare radiographic skeletal disorder, manifested by fine, linear striations primarily in the long bones, was a chance finding.

A 15-year-old male was attacked by a large white shark while surfing. CT examination revealed an above-knee amputation of the right lower extremity with stripping of soft tissues from the groin distally. 3-dimensional volume rendering did not show any fragments of shark teeth but did reveal linear gouges, areas of shaving of cortical bone and an inverted 'V'-shaped defect at the distal margin of the femoral shaft.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate a characteristic cerebellar hemisphere enhancement pattern on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that could aid in early and specific diagnosis of intracranial dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs).
Materials And Methods: Pretreatment MR images of 57 patients with intracranial DAVFs between January 1, 2017, and February 28, 2023, were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 128 patients with confirmed alternative cerebellar lesions during the same period were included as a control group.

Buccal lichenoid lesions (BLLs) are characterised by a unique, linear whitish striation in the buccal region and can be accompanied by ulcers, plaques, erythemas, atrophies and blisters. They are distinguished from oral lichen planus (OLP) by the association of the administration of a drug or contact with a metal. Herein, we present the case of a 42-year-old woman with underlying hypertension with amlodipine-induced BLLs.

Source depth estimation is an important yet very difficult task for passive sonars, especially for horizontal linear arrays (HLAs). This paper proposes an efficient two-step depth estimation scheme using narrowband and broadband constructive and deconstructive striation patterns due to interference between the direct (D) and sea surface reflected (SR) arrivals at an HLA on the bottom of deep water. First, the horizontal source-array ranges are derived from triangulation results of solid angle estimates by subarray beamforming.

Purpose: Although the outer nuclear layer (ONL) and outer plexiform layer (OPL) each exhibit a complex internal organization, near-infrared OCT depicts both as monolithic bands. Here, using visible light OCT in the C57BL/6J mouse retina, sublaminar age-related changes in photoreceptor features were imaged and interpreted. These features were (1) oscillations in reflectivity, or striations, in the ONL and (2) a moderately reflective subband in the OPL.
