With reference to a new case of acne conglobata-associated rheumatic disease in a thirteen-year-old boy, we recall the characteristics of the main joint and/or bone manifestations that may occur during severe flares of acne conglobata, but also acne fulminans or pustulosis of the palms and soles. Joint manifestations mainly involve the large proximal joints of the limbs and consist in pain rather than in signs of inflammation. Although recurrences may develop, joint disease responds to treatment of the acne combined with a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug. Bone involvement consists in true rheumatic osteitis with hyperostosis responsible for densification and thickening of bone, mainly in the anterior chest wall and spine. The pathogenesis and nosologic place of these bone and joint manifestations remain controversial: they do not seem to represent true reactive arthritis and, although the B27 antigen is usually lacking, they have been likened to the group of spondylarthropathies, especially in those cases with sacroiliac involvement and enthesopathy . Oddly enough, they are reminiscent of some of the side effects of etretinate, an agent prescribed in these severe forms of acne. After a national survey carried out in 1986, the acronym SAPHO (Synovitis, Acne, Pustulosis, Hyperostosis, Osteitis) was suggested to designate the range of skin, bone and joint manifestations observed.

Purpose: Congenital pseudarthrosis of the tibia (CPT) is a rare condition typically manifesting within the first decade of life. The primary objectives of surgical intervention for CPT include achieving long-term bony union of the tibia, preventing or minimizing limb length discrepancies (LLD), avoiding mechanical axis deviations of the tibia and adjacent joints, and preventing refracture. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of current treatment methods for CPT to determine the most effective non-surgical and surgical management strategies for pediatric patients with this condition.

Introduction: alkaptonuria is a rare hereditary metabolic disorder which is characterized by deficiency of the enzyme homogentisate 1,2 dioxygenase, which is responsible for the oxidation and renal elimination of homogentisic acid (HGA), which causes its accumulation. The excessive accumulation of HGA results in ochronosis and ochronotic arthropathy, which mainly affects the thoracolumbar spine and the large joints, leading to the need for joint replacement seeking to improve function and quality of life.
Clinical Case: hereby is presented a 67-years-old female patient with history of alkaptonuria with diffuse painful right hip of 4 years of evolution.

Involvement of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) has been increasingly reported, affecting up to 87% of cases. This involvement generally occurs after the diagnosis of JIA has been established; however, in the authors' cases, as in a few others documented in the literature, patients presented with isolated TMJ arthritis as the sole joint involvement. The authors performed a narrative literature review on TMJ involvement in JIA and reported 2 cases that presented with isolated TMJ arthritis as the initial manifestation of JIA.

was first described in humans in 1954, known to infect fish species and contaminate water and fish products. Inoculation to humans occurs through injured skin resulting in the formation of a solitary nodule known as "fish tank granuloma." Disseminated infections have been reported in the immunocompromised and can present with extracutaneous manifestations such as arthritis and osteomyelitis.
