Purpose: To analyze the effect of individual parameters on the postoperative refractive outcomes of small incision lenticule extraction in myopic eyes using machine learning methods.
Design: Retrospective Clinical Cohort Study METHODS: We included 477 patients (922 eyes) of small incision lenticule extraction at Tianjin Ophthalmology Hospital and divided the patients into two groups to analyzed the factors affecting postoperative refractive outcomes based on the label of postoperative spherical equivalent (SE) ≤ -0.50D.

Background: Retinoblastoma (Rb), the primary intraocular malignancy in children, poses significant risks, yet its overall burden remains inadequately assessed. This study aims to analyze global Rb trends using Global Burden of Disease, Injuries, and Risk Factors study (GBD) 2021 data.
Methods: GBD 2021 data was analyzed to assess Rb incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) from 1990 to 2021.

Scleral-fixated intraocular lens (SFIOL) is a widely used technique for IOL implantation in patients where capsular support is insufficient. Most surgeons have shifted away from sutured to sutureless SFIOL techniques where haptics of a multifocal IOL are inserted in scleral tunnels/flaps. Large-scale publications have shown wide variation in the refractive status of eyes post-SFIOL even in the best of the hands.

This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of diabetic vitrectomy for treating tractional retinal detachment (TRD) by assessing visual acuity improvements, retinal reattachment success rates, and the frequency of postoperative complications. A comprehensive literature search identified 1,211 studies, 30 of which met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The meta-analyses were conducted via random effects models to account for heterogeneity.
