We show that noncollinear high harmonic generation (HHG) can be fully understood in terms of nonlinear optical wave mixing. We demonstrate this by superposing on the fundamental ω1 field its second harmonic ω2 of variable intensity in a noncollinear geometry. It allows us to identify, by momentum conservation, each field's contribution (n1,n2) to the extreme ultraviolet emission at frequency Ω = n1ω1 + n2ω2. We observe that the photon (Ω) yield follows an n2 power law on the ω2 intensity, before saturation. It demonstrates that, although HHG is a highly nonperturbative process, a perturbation theory can still be developed around it.

In this study, we investigated in detail the regulation mechanism of electron transfer under laser-induced breakdown (LIB) on weak O-D stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in DMSO-DO solutions. Significantly, the Raman activity of O-D vibrations was greatly enhanced by two orders of magnitude due to electron transfer in DMSO molecules. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations showed that the O-D Raman activity was significantly enhanced in the DMSO-DO dimer compared to the DO dimer.

Unlike continuous-wave laser-based PCS systems, our approach mitigates the non-ideal characteristics of the pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS), such as sloped edges and amplitude jitters, resulting in a more ideal compression process. Additionally, the high harmonic components of the optical pulses further facilitate wideband downconversion, improving the system's operating frequency range.

Despite existing evidence linking behavioural impairment to caregiver distress, the role of cognitive impairment remains less clear, with mixed findings on its impact.

This study aimed to evaluate and compare Bayesian predictive models to identify and quantify the key household inputs affecting cattle milk production in Tanzania. A sample of 1,266 households with at least one milked cow was extracted from the National Panel Survey datasets, the data were collected in 2012/2013 (wave 3), 2014/2015 (wave 4), and 2020/2021 (wave 5). Two generalized linear and generalized additive mixed models were fitted using the Integrated Nested Laplace Approximation.
