Introduction: Rehabilitation after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) often includes proprioceptive exercises to prevent falls, but studies on proprioceptive training have yielded conflicting findings. This study aims to explore impact of proprioceptive training on functional performance after TKA.
Methods: Eighty patients who underwent unilateral TKA were randomly assigned to a proprioceptive exercise (PE) group or a routine exercises (RE) group.

Introduction: Evaluate the real-world efficacy of a single intra-articular injection of carboxymethyl-chitosan (CM-chitosan), a new product class for knee osteoarthritis (OA).
Methods: This post-marketing study included adult patients with knee OA, who received a single injection of 60 mg CM-chitosan (currently marketed as KioMedineone) according to the instructions for use. Follow-up was performed at weeks 1, 12, 24, and 36.

Introduction: PRP is gaining increasing interest for pain relief and improvement of joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) but practices and results remain heterogeneous limiting its adoption as standard of care. Current international recommendations are to collect real-life evidence of efficacy with a systematic monitoring of PRP quality and patients' outcomes. We aimed to analyze the response of patients presenting KOA and treated with standardized PRP injection in routine care.

Introduction: Over half of the populations with knee osteoarthritis (OA) have obesity. These individuals have many other shared metabolic risk factors. Metformin is a safe, inexpensive, well-tolerated drug that has pleiotropic effects, including structural protection, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects in OA, specifically the knee.
