Objective: Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a clinically heterogeneous disorder; OCD with poor insight has been suggested to be a specific clinical subtype. Neurological soft signs (NSSs) may be helpful to identify the specific subtypes of OCD patients.
Methods: In the present study, we aimed to compare OCD patients with poor insight with OCD patients having good insight, and healthy individuals. Sixty-four OCD patients (38 with good insight and 26 with poor insight), and 32 healthy subjects were enrolled in the present study. The Overvalued Ideas Scale (OVIS) was used to determine OCD patients with poor insight. NSSs were assessed by using the Neurological Evaluation Scale (NES).
Results: Two OCD groups had significantly higher total NES scores compared to controls (p=.000). Compared to healthy controls, OCD patients with poor insight performed significantly worse on all NES subscales, and they had significantly more NSSs on motor coordination, and sensory integration subscales compared to the OCD with good insight group.
Conclusion: Our results suggested that OCD patients with poor insight exhibit more extensive neurodevelopmental impairments compared to OCD patients with good insight.

Studies have shown that the prognosis of dental implant treatment in patients with diabetes is not as good as that in the non-diabetes population. The nerve plays a crucial role in bone metabolism, but the role and the mechanism of peripheral nerves in regulating peri-implant osteogenesis under Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) situation remains unclear. In this study, it was shown that high glucose-stimulated Schwann cells (SCs) inhibited peri-implant osteogenesis via their exosomes.

Introduction: Advances in modern therapies have improved outcomes for patients with melanoma brain metastases (MBM), though prognosis remains poor. The optimal treatment strategy for patients who do not meet clinical trial inclusion criteria is unclear.
Methods: This study included all patients with MBM diagnosed in Denmark between 2015 and 2022, identified through the Danish Metastatic Melanoma Database (DAMMED) and local surgical and radiotherapy records.
Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) and depression frequently co-occur, significantly impacting patient outcomes. However, comprehensive health status assessment tools for this complex population are lacking. This study aimed to develop and validate an explainable machine learning model to evaluate overall health status in patients with comorbid CHD and depression.

Background: Heart failure (HF) is a chronic, progressive condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. In addition to the daily challenges that HF poses, acute exacerbations can lead to costly hospitalizations and increased mortality. High health care costs and the burden of HF have led to the emerging application of new technologies to support people living with HF to stay well while living in the community.
