Presented herein are the findings of examination of sixty-two patients with clinical manifestations of chronic abdominal ischaemia predominantly induced by stenosis of the celiac trunk. The authors carried out a comparative analysis of efficacy of instrumental methods of diagnosis of chronic abdominal ischaemia syndrome, having also investigated the lesions of the visceral branches by the findings of angiography. Also presented herein are the outcomes of various methods of surgical correction: 47 reconstructive and conditionally reconstructive operations, 10 transcutaneous endovascular angioplasties, also considering complications of the immediate postoperative period as well as short- and long-term outcomes of surgical treatment.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association of pain-related anxiety on abdominal muscles thickness during standing postural tasks among individuals with chronic low back pain (CLBP).
Methods: We obtained responses to a pain-related anxiety symptoms questionnaire from 50 participants with CLBP. We then separated participants into high (11 men, 14 women) and low pain-related anxiety (13 men, 12 women) groups and compared assessments of their lateral abdominal muscles thickness during standing tasks on a computerized balance assessment device, using one static level and 2 movable levels (levels 6 and 3 are represented easy and difficult tasks respectively).

Irritable bowel syndrome not only is an important differential diagnosis for Crohn's disease but also occurs in one out of three patients with Crohn's disease in remission in parallel. If not adequately diagnosed and treated, additional functional symptoms such as fatigue and/or muscle pain may develop, indicating a more severe course.
