Background And Importance: Footdrop designates weakness of the ankle as well as toes dorsiflexion. Peripheral causes of unilateral footdrop are well established. Bilateral footdrop originating from pathologies in the central nervous system are rare and include a number of unexplored etiologies.
Clinical Presentation: A case of bilateral footdrop is presented. The patient presented with a grade IV subarachnoid hemorrhage with intraventricular extension. He was treated with coil embolization of an anterior communicating artery aneurysm. Postoperatively, he was found to have weakness of both ankle and toe dorsiflexion. Findings on magnetic resonance imaging of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine were negative for abnormal cord signal, cord infarction, and compressive lesion. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain revealed parasagittal bifrontal and right greater than left convexity foci of acute infarction.
Conclusion: Central causes of acute footdrop are rare. However, they should be considered in the differential diagnosis, particularly in the presence of upper motor neuron signs on physical examination.

Introduction: Approximately 60-70% of individuals with diabetes experience varying degrees of damage to their nervous system, resulting in a condition known as diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). DPN usually involves distal body parts and is characterised as distal symmetrical sensorimotor neuropathy which is progressive in nature and follows a "glove and stocking pattern". It has significantly contributed to neuropathic pain, decreased nerve conduction velocity (NCV), impaired proprioception, compromised balance, and postural instability.

This case series explores the association between tirzepatide-assisted weight loss and the development of foot drop due to peroneal nerve neuropathy, a phenomenon known as slimmer's paralysis. Two cases are presented of patients who experienced rapid weight loss after initiation of tirzepatide therapy and within 6 to 8 months developed bilateral foot drop. As providers, we have more medications than ever to assist patients in their weight loss journeys, but both of these cases are reminders of the risks of rapid weight loss and the need to monitor therapy closely for patients on tirzepatide and similar medications.

To test the new method of iMAX (the minimum stimulus current that elicits the maximum compound muscle action potential amplitude) electrodiagnosis, verify the feasibility of this method in evaluating the excitability of peripheral motor axons, and preliminarily explore the clinical application value. This study was a cross-sectional study. A total of 50 healthy subjects were recruited from the outpatient department of Peking University Third Hospital from June 2022 to March 2023, including 25 males and 25 females, aged 25-68 (48±8) years.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect on diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) treated with acupuncture combined with medication and explore its effect mechanism.
Methods: Sixty-two patients of DPN were randomly divided into a combined therapy group (31 cases) and a medication group (31 cases, 2 cases dropped out); besides, 20 healthy subjects were recruited as a normal group. On the base of routine intervention, in the medication group, thioctic acid capsules were administrated orally, 0.
