Introduction: Fecal incontinence is a debilitating condition with considerable impact on quality of life. The artificial bowel sphincter may be used as a treatment option in severe cases in which no less invasive form of therapy is sufficient.
Results: Risk of infection and mechanical failure is of particular concern in this artificial device.
Conclusion: We report a rare late complication: balloon dilation due to hypertonic fillings.

Objective: This review highlights the pearls and pitfalls of stercoral colitis, including presentation, diagnosis, and emergency department (ED) management based on the available evidence.
Discussion: Stercoral colitis is an uncommon inflammatory condition of the distal large bowel and rectum resulting from accumulation of impacted stool and is associated with several complications including bowel ulceration, ischemia, perforation, peritonitis, and sepsis.

Background And Aims: Inadequate bowel preparation which occurs in 25% of colonoscopies is a major barrier to the effectiveness of screening for colorectal cancer. We aim to develop an artificial intelligence (machine learning) algorithm to assess photos of stool output after bowel preparation to predict inadequate bowel preparation before colonoscopy.
Methods: Patients were asked to text a photo of their stool in the commode when they believed that they neared completion of their colonoscopy bowel preparation.
